In case you missed our recent Instagram post, I will share this little tidbit here too.
Throughout a dozen kitchen remodels over the past 10 years, I have learned some valuable lessons on how to save money!
Today's 1st lesson is.... New kitchen counters may be what your kitchen needs to look 20 years younger! The 2nd Lesson is.... New kitchen counters may be more affordable than you think!
If you are preparing your house for sale (or rent) you don't need to be super picky about the countertop material, because you won't be living there. In fact, YOU are the last person your house needs to appeal to! You'll want to choose a material that has mass appeal to your target audience. (ask your Realtor who your target buyers will be)
One way to see the current trends in building materials is to tour brand new homes that are priced just a little higher than your house will be. These houses will be your competition when yours hits the market!
Then talk to a good countertop fabricator/installer. Here's where the savings happen...if you have small to medium sized countertops, ask them for REMNANTS! The busy installers will have lots of matching remnants from new construction that they can custom cut to fit your counters. These are SO much more affordable than whole slabs!
Check out our recent Instagram post to see how little we spent on countertops when we remodeled 4 apartments recently! Or better yet, email text or call me to talk about it!
We're staging homes for sale all over the Rogue Valley in Southern Oregon!
